IGNACIO B. GIMENEZ - Chairman and President   
    
Mr. Gimenez is the Chairman of iVantage Corporation, the holding corporation which owns 51% of Philequity Management, Inc.  He is also the Treasurer of I. B. Gimenez Securities, Inc., a stock brokerage firm (1976 - present).  He is also the Sales and Marketing Manager of Society Publishing, Inc. (1991 - present).  He holds a graduate degree in Business Administration from Asian Institute of Management (1970) and a college degree from University of the Philippines (1967).

VALENTINO C. SY

Mr. Sy is currently the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of iVantage Corporation. He has been a Director of iVantage since 2002. He is the President of Equinox International Corp. (1996 - present).  He was the Regional Manager of Duferco International Trading Ltd., Taiwan (1987 - 1995) and Erlanger Metals Ltd., Hong Kong (1979 - 1986).  All these companies are engaged in trading of steel. He holds a degree in Industrial Management Engineering from the De La Salle University

ENRIQUE ESTEBAN

Mr. Esteban was elected Director last June 27, 2000. His present business affiliation includes: (a) Research Fellow, Center for Research and Communication Foundation, Inc; (b) Trustee and Professor, University of Asia and the Pacific; (c) Chairman, AMEIC Working Group for HRD Development; (d) Director, Strategic Business Economics Consulting Group, Inc., Bank Wise, Metro Pacific Corporation, AB Capital and Investments Corporation, Mantrade Development Corporation and Inkwell Publishing Co., Inc. Mr. Esteban graduated from the University of the Philippines receiving LLB Degree in 1959 and is a member of the Philippine Bar Association. He received his MBA Degree in 1965 from Wharton School of Finance and Commerce and the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Masters in Business Economics Degree in 1975 from the Center for Research and Communication.
              
VICENTE R. JAYME, SR.
   

Mr. Jayme served as executive director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from 1990 to 1997.  He also held positions as Secretary, Department of Finance in 1987 to 1990 and as Secretary, Department of Public Works and Highways in 1986 to 1987.  He has served as Chairman and/or Director, at one time or another, in around 40 business enterprises and corporations in the fields of banking and finance, shipping, insurance, consulting, chemicals, steel, construction, utilities and others.  He obtained his master’s degree in Economics from Ateneo Graduate School and served as a fellow to the Economic Development Institute of World Bank.

VIOLETA O. LUYM

Mrs. Luym is a Director of the fund.   She is currently a Director of Banco de Oro Universal Bank and iVantage Corporation.  She is also a director of BDO Capital & Investment Corporation and Tangiers Resources Corporation.  She is the Chairman of the Board of BDO Financial Services, Inc. and AD Club, Inc.  She holds the position of Corporate Secretary of Homeworld Shopping Corporation.  She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of California Los Angeles and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Assumption College.

 

FELIPE U. YAP

Mr. Yap is currently the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company, Lepanto Investment & Development Corporation, Diamant Boart Philippines, Inc., Diamond Drilling Corporation of the Philippines, Far Southeast Gold Resources, Inc., Shipside, Inc. and Yapster e-Conglomerate.  He is the Chairman of the Board of First-Lepanto Taisho Insurance Corporation, Lepanto Ceramics, Inc., Pepsi Cola Products Phils., Inc. and Prime Orion Philippines, Inc.  He is the President of BA-Lepanto  Condominium  Corporation and Director of the following Philippine Corporation namely: Cyber Bay Corporation,  Manila Peninsula Hotel, Inc., Philippine Associated  Smelting and  Refining  Corporation, Philippine  Fire and  Marine  Insurance Corporation, South China Petroleum & Exploration, Inc., Zeus  Holdings,  Inc.  He also holds membership in the following organizations:  Management Association of the Philippines, The Conference Board , and  Makati Business  Club. He holds a degree in B.S. Philosophy from University of  San CarlosCebu  City.

GREGORIO T. YU  

Mr. Yu was a Director and Officer in several public companies until 2001 which includes the following: (a) Belle Corporation as the President and Chief Executive Officer; (b)  Sinophil Corporation as  President and Chief Executive Officer; and (c)  APC Group Inc. as Vice-Chairman.  Until 2001, he was also President of the following companies: (a) Tagaytay Highlands International Golf Club;  (b) The Country Club at Tagaytay Highlands; (c) Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club; and (d) Pacific Online Systems Corporation.  He was Chairman of Belle Jai Alai Corporation and Vice Chairman of Philippine Global Communications, Inc.  He was a Director of Corporate Finance, Chase Manhattan Limited, Hong Kong and was Vice President for Area Credit of the Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters, Hong Kong.  Previos to that, he was 2nd Vice President of the Manila Offshore Banking Unit of the same bank.  He is currently a director and member of the Executive Committee and Audit Committee of The International Exchange Bank.  Concurrently, he is also the Chairman and President of Philequity Fund, Inc.  He is a director of (a) iVantage Corporation and (b) Solar Land, Inc.    Additionally, he is the Trustee of Xavier School, Inc and Xavier School Educational and Trust Fund, Inc.  He graduated from De la Salle University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honors Program 1978), summa cum laude.  Mr. Yu holds a graduate degree in Business Administration from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1983) where he was in the Director’s Honor List.
